About this session

It's not yet clear how the AUKUS initiative will impact university activities requiring the export of technical data, USML-listed items, or defense services to collaborators in Australia or the United Kingdom. However, many exemptions currently exist to facilitate these activities with those in countries whom the United States considers to be among its closest allies. join us to learn more about these lesser known cousins to the Fundamental Research and Bona-fide Full Time Employee exemptions (which will not be discussed). We'll share scenarios of requests that you could receive from faculty to determine whether these exemptions could apply to their collaborations, and provide strategies to perform you own analyses and fulfil any recordkeeping, reporting, or other requirements of the specific exemption.

Jointly hosted by NC State University and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
